Damaged sections of timber floor are replaced and 2mm vinyl floor covering secured with adhesive. A Kulite polystyrene ceiling is installed.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT Bright Kid Foundation is a Section 21 Not For Gain Association which controls the production of Edutainers and delivers them to carefully selected teachers and NGOs in areas of need in South Africa. An Edutainer is a 12 meter (40 foot) container converted into a pre-school or an educational toy library. All used containers are carefully checked before purchase. The conversion is extensive and includes sheet vinyl floors, insulated ceilings, large windows, electricity, lighting, plug points, an electrical distribution board, security bars, coat hooks, a chalk board, a soft board, a fire extinguisher, a heating fan and full external decoration. Windows are made from aluminium to prevent rust. The insulated ceilings are made from 25mm insulating material. Pre-school classrooms have cupboards, shelves, furniture and books. The cupboards are made from steel wire and are lockable. The shelves are wooden and set in steel. Toy libraries have shelves, educational toys, a playing/training area and an administration area. Bright Kid Foundation provides foundation blocks and organises and the delivery of the Edutainers. The foundation blocks are made from steel reinforced concrete and are 30cm x 30cm x 20cm high. Six foundation blocks are delivered with each Edutainer. One under each corner, and one in the front middle and one at the back middle. All teachers and sites have different requirements and Bright Kid Foundation, working with skilled local NGOs, assesses the specific Edutainer needs for each site.
DELIVERY POLICY Bright Kid Foundation will accumulate donations and apply them to costs incurred in the Edutainer programme. Once the necessary funds are accumulated, we will build and deliver Edutainers to carefully selected teachers and sites. We cannot tell in advance when the donated funds will be sufficient to produce and deliver an Edutainer as this will depend on the rate at which the funds are received. In the event that fund raising is exceptionally slow, we will secure corporate funding to complete projects or utilize the funds to purchase additional toys for existing Edutainers.
All donors who provide their names and email addresses will receive an emailed certificate thanking them for their contribution. Donors of the equivalent of $1000 or more will have their names inscribed on a brass plaque attached to the Edutainer which has benefitted from their donation. When the Edutainer is delivered, Information on the Edutainer location, will be sent to these donors Funds accumulated through credit card donations will be utlised to manufacture equip and deliver Edutainers to rural locations where additional teacher training may be required. In these cases we expect the Edutainer costs including delivery and any site upgrades required to equal approximately United States dollars, 42000. In the unlikely event that credit card donated funds exceed the capacity of Bright Kid Foundation to deliver Edutainers within a reasonable time period, the extra funds available, after producing the maximum number of Edutainers possible ,will be used to upgrade Edutainer sites through play equipment or teacher training or extra educational toys or through any other appropriate means.
REFUNDS POLICY. If a donor wishes to have their donation refunded, please let us know within 30 days of the donation. Refund of donations to the donor will attract a 25 % administration fee.

Please Help Us Deliver the Next Edutainer
The Bright Kid Foundation believes that every child in South Africa has a right to quality pre-school education in a safe and learner-friendly environment, with access to educational toys and books that encourage an optimal learning experience, supervised by a trained teacher.
Unfortunately this is not currently the case because many rural areas cannot afford or do not have access to full functioning classrooms. And so we came up a solution: the Edutainer, containers converted into fully equipped preschool classrooms where children can realise their full potential in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
